About Scott LaPlant

Network engineer Scott LaPlant was raised in Escanaba, Michigan, and attended Northland Baptist Bible College (now called Northland International University) in Dunbar, Wisconsin, where he studied business. Currently, Scott LaPlant is IT Manager at Standex ADP., a manufacturing company located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Update: Scott was previously employed by Dutchland, Inc. but, happily resigned in October of 2009 to pursue other opportunities.

In his previous role, Scott LaPlant was involved in improving centralized and automated network management systems cost effectively and in line with the corporate goals of a firm worth more than $20 million. Responsible for Dutchland, Inc.’s entire telephone communications network and its computer infrastructure, Scott LaPlant was a singularly important member of the company and had been recognized twice as Employee of the Month. Scott LaPlant drove an increase in communications efficiency while cutting telephone costs by 300%.
