Of course, we are thrilled when anyone cooks and enjoys the food on our pages, but we get especially excited when it’s someone like the super-talented photographer and food blogger Matt Armendariz! Tervis tumblers

I recently went back home to Texas for a friend’s wedding and was reintroduced to the Tervis tumbler when my friends mother met us at the river with a few in tow. I totally remember these from my childhood! My grandparents had the mugs at their house and they were indispensable in the summertime. I love these because they don’t sweat, the lids snap on tight, and they have a lifetime warranty. You can get them directly from the company’s website or Bed Bath and Beyond. Oh, did I mention that they are made in the U.S.A? And they can be personalized? Check them out!

lobster, on a roll

This past weekend I was struck with a serious craving (the type usually reserved for burgers, chocolate, or a cocktail) for a fresh lobster roll. Luckily, I happened to be just blocks away from Luke’s Lobster on 7th street in New York City, so I popped in for this hit-the-spot sandwich and all was right in my world again.

Have a hankering of your own? Pick up our special Summer issue and turn to page 55, where we have the recipe for this lobster roll, straight from the lobster man Luke Holden himself.

PS – That squirt on the side is Sriracha sauce, the newest addition to Luke’s condiment caddy – we told you Sriracha can make anything better!

Inspiration: David Barth’s Drawings

david_barth_birds.png

David Barth is an artist from Rotterdam, the Netherlands. He was born in 1998, and he loves to draw details. Especially living creatures: bugs, snakes, birds, mammals. I love his approach! He just fills the page with them.

Translated via Google Translate:

David is diagnosed with Asperger syndome, a form of autism, which causes him to conceive the world in his own unique way. This is reflected in his work. David has a firm approach in drawing, as if the picture is already finished in his head before the pencil touches the paper. David has an amazing sense for detail.
